CREATING A GROUP CHAT

To create a new Broadcast Message:

  • From the Communications panel on the right nav, click on the Broadcast/Group Chat icon.

  • From the Group Chats and Broadcast Channels pop-up window click on the New Channel button

  • In the Create Channel pop-up enter the Channel Name and select Chat Channel

  • Click Next

  • From the Select Contacts pop-up, you have the option to select your Agents manually, one-by-one by entering their names in the top search bar under Contacts, OR

  • Click on the Lists tab and select a list of Agents that you have already created

  • Click Create

  • Type your message

  • Click Enter

NOTE:

  • ​Your Agents need to be subscribed to the NIC Agent App in order for you to communicate with them.

Group Chat with Agents

Zoom, Teams and Google Meets are great for online meetings but other situations call for a Group Forum, where users can participate in ongoing conversations to share ideas, opinions and gather feedback and information from the Agent Community.

NIC Chat enables you to create groups of Agents to participate in these types of forums.

Email Notfication
Agent In-App Notifications

AGENT ONLINE CHAT - EMAIL NOTIFICATION

Each Agent in the broadcast group will receive an email notification from NIC and be alerted that there is a new message from you.

​

The notification email will contain your name as the user sharing the list, and also a link to the Agent App so the Agent can click on it to get direct access to the Agent App Login page, where they can see the message you have sent them. 

 

NOTE:

  • LOG IN link appears for Agents already on NIC platform and will take the Agent to the NIC Advisor App login page. 

  • JOIN US link appears for Agents who are not on NIC platform but are part of your list. If they wish to subscribe to the NIC Advisor App all they have to do is click on Join Us and complete the short onboarding process.

AGENT IN-APP NOTIFICATIONS

In addition to email notifications, each Agent will also receive an In-App Notification, notifying them of a new message.

AGENT COMMUNICATIONS

Clicking on the notification (email or in app) will take the Agent directly to the message. 

​

An Agent can participate in the group chat by simply typing their message in the message box and clicking enter.
